I’m so glad I got into Slytherin! My two choices were Slytherin and Gryffindor… and although I am not evil (I swear) I’m kinda proud that the Sorting Hat saw me as less of a noble martyr and more as a practical, rational gal. I’m one of those who’ve been saying that Slytherin and Gryffindor were both sides of the same coin - which is why I was okay with either of them. But although I’ve always been for “fighting for your own principles and morals”, I’ve also always been for “and then come back home ALIVE”. Nope, no “being the hero” for me. Plus my morals have often been different from those of the groups I was part of… So it works :) Am I an elitist/racist? No, FAR from it. In fact that is the only Slytherin trait that I lack in greatly: I’m not actually a bitch. But I AM quite a hedonist and a bit sarcastic at times. So, again, it works.
I am a real, breathing, human being, after all. I’m not a book character (and by the way, the books are written from a biased point of view - which is cool literally speaking; but I don’t see why it needs to be applied in real life as well). If all the people on Pottermore were to go to school together I’m pretty sure Slytherin and Gryffindor would have more of a love-hate relationship going on. I mean… come on! We have VERY similar character traits :) but when the going gets rough we just like to address problems differently *giggle*: we’ll both do something about it, but us snakes will also concentrate on getting out alive of there… We are brave, but only in the name of what we personally stand for, and not necessarily for what everyone else thinks is “good”. Plus, if you remember correctly, even Godric Gryffindor and Salazar Slytherin were best friends for most of their lives.
Plus I love the idea of an underwater common room and an underwater dormitory :P
So yeah, I’m very happy with my sorting and I wish others were, too. You answered the questions, guys. And you presumably answered them honestly… so why are you so upset with where your own personality has landed you? Seriously, all the houses are cool: and they’re cool because they fit your personality best.
The different houses may be close to a tie right now, that we’re in Beta and each user has 1 (or in any case, a small number of) accounts(s). But I think that we can all agree that the biggest number of Harry Potter fans wants to be in Gryffindor, simply because it’s the most advertised house in…

If you have multiple Pottermore accounts… By all means, do us all a favor and DELETE the extra ones. I had no less than TWELVE spare accounts made (a lot of my friends were on a college-related trip together and I was left with the burden of making accounts for everyone… so I registered A LOT of them, so that they could choose the usernames they liked best) and when the emails started being sent out, I erased all but the one I plan on using. If you have accounts that you don’t need (or simply multiple accounts) you’re taking away other people’s shot as getting their welcome email… I’ve heard of people with 7 accounts, and all of them already on Pottermore – how is that fair?!? Six more people would’ve received their welcome emails and entered the site, had that person erased his/her extra accounts.
And this goes to everyone: people, if you have multiple accounts… DELETE them! You’re not being fair to all of the others who’re waiting for their emails!
